The QFBC is administered and coordinated by Healthy Land and Water and guided by a Steering Committee.

The QFBC Steering Committee is independently chaired by Steve Martin of Powerlink, comprising of representatives from partner organisations and honorary members who provide valuable technical expertise and support
The primary purpose of the Steering Committee is to provide strategic direction, technical support and stakeholder representation to the QFBC. The Steering Committee advises and assists the QFBC with the integration of the latest fire ecology research and best practice recommendations into existing policies and plans and promotes the work of the QFBC both within and beyond Queensland.
The QFBC Steering Committee includes both representatives from supporting organisations and honorary members who provide valuable technical expertise and support.
